About Us

Skylines organizes the world’s real-time photos with love from the heart of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The platform indexes over 5 million photos a day sent through services Twitter, Instagram, Twitpic, Yfrog and Lockerz. Launched in August 2012, the Skylines widget is the start-up's first product. Now every single website can show thousands of relevant live photos to its audience.

Skylines was launched by founder Michiel Frackers and CEO Martijn Pannevis during TechCrunch Disrupt NY 2011 where it was the only European finalist. As a winner of the Dutch Vodafone Mobile Clicks 2011, Skylines was also one of the seven finalists at the worldwide Vodafone competition in 2011.

We're a small team working in real-time in the heart of Amsterdam. Countries from Sweden to Egypt and from Germany to India are represented, but we all have just one goal: making it easier for you to find and use live photos from the web.

• Michiel Frackers (Founder and Chairman)
  As a founder of Planet Internet Michiel is an experienced internet entrepreneur. He co-founded Skylines (OneSkyMedia) in 2011 and is a founding partner of Three Circles Ventures, a shareholder in Skylines. Michiel is actively involved in Skylines in the field of strategy, finance and product development.
• Mark Bernstein (Advisor)
  Mark is a veteran of the Internet revolution having been instrumental in building two of the Internet’s premier businesses. Mark was a founder and general manager of CNN Interactive, CNN's digital properties and was then recruited away to serve as the President of Springstreet.com, a division of Move.com- the Internet’s dominant real estate portal. He now lives in San Francisco where he is the CEO of Hundreds of Heads Media and is a Managing Partner of O8 Partners where he works with technology and media companies assisting them with strategy, business development and implementation.
• Philippe Tarbouriech (Advisor)
  Philippe was Electronic Arts Technology Fellow and Director of Development for various EA titles. He was also a strategic advisor to DxO Labs, where mobile technologies for digital photography are designed for the mobile telecom market and B2C industries. He is currently Managing Partner at O8 partners.
